THE DANCING NOMADS

The Dancing Nomads or "Travelling Dancers" were also known as "Gypsies," an international term for a lifestyle of a group of people, and more commercially, a term for artists of the Broadway stage as they travelled from one stage production to another.

This is an area for dance enthusiasts interested in embracing culture through dance. We are currently conducting recreational cardio-dance classes to explore American, Brazilian, Haitian, Cuban, African and Indian culture by dancing! Also check for resources in local and exotic travel destinations for dance.  
So come share the energy and spirit that links us in the Universal Language of Dance! Please check the main calendar for national/international dance classes and events.

Carnival Mask

Inspired by the study of the Katherine Dunham technique, Dança Trópical  is a fusion of dances from Africa, Brazil, Haiti and the Caribbean, featuring contemporary, folkloric, social, secular and non-secular dances of work, play and religion including Dances of the Orisha, Voudoun, Samba, Yanvalou, Afro-Reggae and more!

Lindy Hop
Sept. 21st (8 weeks $89.00)

Jazz Fusion/Swing

Incorporating solo dance vocabulary from New York City's famous Ballrooms, Cabarets and Theater of the early 1940's Authentic Jazz era. Come dance "The Charleston," "Jitterbug" and "Shim-Sham" to "Big Band" music of Duke Ellington, Cab Calloway and more, in this nostaligic dance party experience!
